I, on my part wonder who has given me the right to peek inside what goes on inside a man's bedroom, unless he is someone whose fall will mean the fall of the country. Even in that case I think I will simply demand that he should step down from throne because he cant jeopardise a country's safety/wellbeing on the altar of his amorous escapades.
Being a human being made of flesh and blood, who stumbles every alternate day and pulls herself up again to walk tall i dont see any thing wrong in the falling of the idol, he will stand up and walk tall again if he doesnot gives in to the jeering of the hyenas and cruel beaks of the vultures.
I think your words are so very true and it is wonderful to see them voiced this way.
ReplyDeleteFor so many, the private fall of other people is fed off of, judged, scorned at & ridiculed when the same things happen every day to many others. It is simply the fact that they are an idol that makes their fall so much more significant.
However, just as we other human beings, yes, the idol will stand tall once again.
The trouble with being an idol is you can become a scapegoat overnight. Worship quickly turns to hate when the idol reveals itself to be merely human
